Answer Extraction
Answer Extraction tries to find a specific response (typically a noun phrase) in response to a specific question. This is in contrast to Information Extraction, which tries to extract specific information about any entity mentioned in the text being processed. Typically, Answer Extraction expends much more energy on each sentence than information extraction due to the focused nature of the question and the importance placed on finding its answer. Example Answer Extraction systems include:
* Mulder
* Murax
* FAQ Finder
